During National GEAR UP Week, we kicked off the celebration with two exciting events at Lansing Community College and Michigan State University.

The kick-off events brought together GEAR UP students, who are currently in their first year of college, GEAR UP student staff, and educators to celebrate their transition into higher education and the opportunities ahead.

A highlight of the events was a panel featuring GEAR UP student staff, who shared their college experiences and answered questions about navigating college life. GEAR UP students gained inspiration and insight by hearing about both the successes and challenges that make the college experience an important part of personal growth.

Students also had the opportunity to learn about resources and services available to them, ask questions, and connect with people who can support them throughout their college journey.

We are proud to celebrate National GEAR UP Week and our students as they continue to set goals, explore new opportunities, and take steps toward a successful future.
